MEKONG DELTA 2 DAYS 1 NIGHT TRIP FROM HO CHI MINH CITY

DAY 1: HCM – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO (L, D)                                           

07:30 PICKUP AND DEPART TO MEKONG DELTA

Tour guide will pick up your hotel. Enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields.

Stop at Mekong Rest Stop for some free time or a coffee break (Excluded).

9:30 – 10:00 EXPERIENCE CULTURE IN MEKONG DELTA

Arrive My Tho. Board a wooden motor boat (20 minutes) to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, you’ll be passing through natural creeks, interesting fisherman's port; stilt houses (half on land, half on water).

From there, we’ll take you to a bee shop where you have a chance to taste a tasteful cup of authentic honey tea. After that we walk around quiet villages and watch the life of rural people in Mekong Delta.

One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a seasonable orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyments. You can enjoy the fruits for free while checking out the traditional folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam.

Then get on small rowboat. During 15-minute trip, you’ll witness all kind of interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around, while enjoying the fresh air along the canal and beautiful water coconut tree scenery. Away from the city, that is it all about!

When you feel it's enough for the serenity, let's get back to the large motorboat for something different. You'll cruise a canal whose 2 long sides are orchards (seasonable orchards).

After that, we cruise to a village where the sweat smell coconut candies are in the air. To satisfy your curiosity, we'll get to a village that has many small shops that make coconut candy and handcrafted items from coconut trees of Mekong Delta. You might learn that those people can amazingly make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees. It is indeed inseparable from the villagers' life.

AT NOON - LUNCH TIME

Now let's have a lunch the restaurant.

AFTERNOON

As your journey ends, you will return to My Tho by motorized boat and meet the bus and proceed to Can Tho.

Check in and have dinner at the hotel. Free time to visit bustling Can Tho Market.

DAY 2: CAI RANG FLOAT MARKET – HO CHI MINH (B, L)         

Take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River), then proceed to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, which are the liveliest in the whole religion.

Have you ever tasted Vietnamese vermicelli soup? Well, now Boat stop and see how it is made.

Then Boat pickup local Market and meet the friendly local people, walking around the village.

Continue visit Southern Zen Monastery. Truc Lam Phuong Nam Zen Monastery is a pagoda with bold Ly - Tran architecture. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, find a peaceful place to calm your mind and look towards Buddha, this is a great choice.

10:30 BACK TO HO CHI MINH CITY

Back to Ho Chi Minh city, stop for lunch at Mekong rest stop.
